FEDERAL REGULATIONS SEMINAR
CSLRA will be holding a Federal Regulations Seminar in conjunction with the annual meeting at the Westin San Diego in July. The seminar will be advertised beyond CSLRA membership, including all railroads in FRA Region 7 (CA, NV, AZ and UT). It will consist of main and breakout sessions on a variety of topics of current interest to railroad operating, mechanical and maintenance of way managers.

CSLRA’s annual meeting will commence immediately following the Federal Regulations Seminar at the Westin San Diego. The agenda will include current legislative, regulatory and safety topics.

Representatives of the California Short Line Railroad Association joined forces in Sacramento today for their annual visit with state legislators. We visited the following 20 offices:
State Senators: Gaines, Morrell, Beall, Jackson, Nielsen, Fuller, Wilk, and Lara.
State Assembly Members: Cunningham, Daly, Irwin, Chiu, Frazier, Patterson, Chavez, Santiago, Muratsuchi, Rendon, O’Donnell, and Obernolte.
CSLRA participants included officers of the following California railroads: Pacific Harbor Line (PHL), Richmond Pacific, Central California Traction (CCT), Modesto and Empire Traction (M&ET), San Francisco Bay RR, Sierra RR …and the following holding companies: Omnitrax and Genesee & Wyoming (G&W).
